FRPs In Automotive Molding

Millions of parts, one mission: keep cars lighter, stronger, and safer.

Look under the hood of a modern car and you’ll find more plastic than ever before. But it’s not the cheap stuff.

Fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) are replacing metal in brackets, air intake manifolds, front-end carriers, and countless other components.

We should know. ADIS Tachov s.r.o. makes millions of these parts every year.

Using long-glass-fiber polypropylene, carbon-reinforced PA, and hybrid overmolding techniques, we deliver parts that are not only lighter but also dimensionally stable, heat-resistant, and able to survive years of vibration and temperature cycling.

This shift is about more than cost or weight, it’s also about integration. FRPs allow engineers to mold complex geometries with built-in clips, seals, and mounting points in a single shot. That means fewer parts, shorter assembly times, and lower risk of failure.
