Takt time isn’t just a formula, it’s the production heartbeat that keeps customer demand and manufacturing perfectly in sync.
Lean manufacturing lives or dies by the rate at which products must be completed to meet customer demand without overproduction or delays. Fortunately, the takt time formula is quite simple to calculate!
Takt Time = Available Production Time \ Customer Demand
For example, if you operate at 480 minutes per shift, and need to produce 240 parts per shift the takt time would bet: 480 minutes \ 240 parts = 2min/part
This means that every two minutes, a part is built, quality is secured, and schedules stay on track. That’s takt time in action!
At ADIS Tachov s.r.o., takt time is embedded into every production cell, which enables us to balance workloads, reduce bottlenecks, hit outstanding real-time responsiveness to customer schedules, and guarantee consistent throughput and quality assurance.
By synchronizing operations with takt time we ensure that every bumper component, trim piece, and interior part is delivered ‘just-in-time’, with zero compromise on quality. One more reason why we remain the market leader and preferred partner for automotive OEMs across Europe.
